Features

Everything Panora does for your windows

An infinite canvas, row and grid layouts, workspaces, live previews and in-place windows, on every display.

Zoom out to see everything

Pinch, ⌃-scroll or swipe up with three fingers. Every window becomes a preview on a transparent canvas over your real wallpaper.

Use windows in place

Rest the pointer on a preview and the real window opens right there. No click, no layout change. Move away and it returns.

Row or grid

A filmstrip row you scroll sideways, or a grid you drop windows into. Drag to reorder; the others make room and the gaps stay even.

Across all your displays

One canvas over your MacBook and external monitors. Pans and zooms move previews, so crossing the seam between screens is smooth.

Workspaces

Group windows like macOS desktops. Switch from the bar at the top; in the grid each workspace becomes a folder you move as one.

Launch right where you want

Click the faint + between two windows, search for an app, and its window opens in that exact spot.

Live previews when you want them

Toggle Live on the windows you want to watch. Others show a fresh snapshot, and macOS's capture indicator stays off your windows.

Traffic lights on every preview

Close, minimize or open any window at 100% right from the overview.

Resize previews

Drag a preview's corner to enlarge its content on the canvas. Hold ⌥ to change the real window's size.

Follows your changes

New, closed and minimized windows, and moves or resizes by you, the app or another tool: Panora adapts the layout.

Remembers, and leaves no trace

Your layout comes back next time. On quit, every window returns to its own place, even after a crash.

Mouse and trackpad

Pinch and three-finger swipes on the trackpad; right-click + wheel to zoom and the wheel to scroll the row with a mouse.

Gestures & shortcuts

  • •Pinch or ⌃ + scroll to zoom, anywhere
  • •Three-finger swipe up for the overview, down for 100% (the system swipe is paused while Panora runs, and restored on quit)
  • •⌥ + scroll pans the canvas wherever the pointer is
  • •Mouse: hold the right button + wheel to zoom; the wheel scrolls the row sideways
  • •⌃⌥Space overview · Esc 100% · G grid · R row · F fit

Layouts

  • •Row: vertically centred, scroll sideways, drag to reorder; gaps stay even when windows resize
  • •Grid: drop windows anywhere; neighbours move aside; drop on a window's centre to swap
  • •New windows join next to where they appear; closed ones leave no gap
  • •Previews grow a little on hover and their neighbours make room

Workspaces

  • •A bar at the top with every workspace: click to switch, drop a window to move it, + for a new one
  • •In the grid, each workspace is a folder with its windows shrunk inside; drag it as one
  • •Double-click a name to rename; right-click to rename or close

Privacy & safety

  • •Previews are captured on your Mac only. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded
  • •Only windows with Live on are streamed; the rest use snapshots
  • •On quit, every window returns to its own position and size; a watchdog does it even after a crash
