Features

Everything about your windows, in one gesture

Panora isn't another snapping tool. It gives your windows a place, and you a camera to move around them.

Zoom out to see everything

Pinch, ⌃-scroll or swipe up with three fingers. Every window becomes a preview on a transparent canvas over your real wallpaper.

Use windows in place

Rest the pointer on a preview and the real window opens right there. No click, no layout change. Move away and it returns.

Row or grid

A filmstrip row you scroll sideways, or a grid you drop windows into. Drag to reorder; the others make room and the gaps stay even.

Across all your displays

One canvas over your MacBook and external monitors. Pans and zooms move previews, so crossing the seam between screens is smooth.

Workspaces

Group windows like macOS desktops. Switch from the bar at the top; in the grid each workspace becomes a folder you move as one.

Launch right where you want

Click the faint + between two windows, search for an app, and its window opens in that exact spot.

Live previews when you want them

Toggle Live on the windows you want to watch. Others show a fresh snapshot, and macOS's capture indicator stays off your windows.

Traffic lights on every preview

Close, minimize or open any window at 100% right from the overview.

Resize previews

Drag a preview's corner to enlarge its content on the canvas. Hold ⌥ to change the real window's size.

Follows your changes

New, closed and minimized windows, and moves or resizes by you, the app or another tool: Panora adapts the layout.

Remembers, and leaves no trace

Your layout comes back next time. On quit, every window returns to its own place, even after a crash.

Mouse and trackpad

Pinch and three-finger swipes on the trackpad; right-click + wheel to zoom and the wheel to scroll the row with a mouse.

How it works

Real windows stay real

At 100% your windows are exactly what they always were. Panora only moves them. When you zoom out, it shows live previews on a transparent layer instead, so motion is smooth on every display. Zoom back in and each real window lands where its preview was.

  • ⌃⌥␣Overview. Zoom out to everything, or swipe up with three fingers.
  • G / RGrid or row. Switch layouts; Panora fits them to your screen.
  • HoverUse in place. Rest on a preview and the real window opens there.
  • EscBack to 100%. Every real window settles where its preview was.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is there a free trial? +

Yes. Download Panora and use everything for 7 days, no account or card needed. After that, buy a license to keep using the canvas.

What does Panora do? +

Panora turns your Mac desktop into an infinite canvas of windows. Zoom out to see all of them as live previews, arrange them in a row or grid, group them into workspaces, and open any window in place.

Does it resize or scale my real windows? +

No. Real windows are only moved, never scaled. Previews on the canvas can be enlarged independently.

Which Macs are supported? +

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Why does it need Accessibility and Screen Recording? +

Accessibility lets Panora move and focus your windows. Screen Recording powers the previews on the canvas. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

Does it work with multiple monitors? +

Yes, the canvas spans every connected display, and the controls follow your pointer to the screen you're on.

What happens to my windows when I quit? +

Each window goes back to where it was before Panora arranged it, and macOS's three-finger swipe setting is restored.
